The Unspoken Dream

My hopes and dreams were dashed a sunder today with just a few words
By themselves they had not the power to destroy dreams
But together they tore and mangled a vision
That the world will never know
And none shall morn
For a dead dream.

Choose carefully your words less you kill another's hopes and wishes
For in just a short careless moment a world can die
Never to be born or experienced
A joy smashed upon the rocks
To die in slow tears to fall upon the dirt.

So much that could of been will never touch your heart or being
For it passed before it could be born with just a spoken word
An emptiness fills the void left behind
Never to be, never to see It might of been great
And now it is less Than death
The unspoken Dream.
